Coaching?
Thank you for giving your time to
volunteer to coach in Tyler Little Dribblers. Our goal is to
make this a positive and rewarding experience for both you and the
players. We try to address your questions below, but if you
have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at
jsherrel@tylerlittledribblers.org
Practice Time - Your team will
expect to practice one night per week. If you need ideas for
drills or play development, we can help.
Gym Time - TLD does not
include practice time in the registration fee because some coaches
need it and some don't. If your team needs to rent gym time,
we have time available in some TISD facilities for $20/hr (tile gym)
or $40/hr (wood floor gym).
Protected Players - Boys and
Girls teams will be allowed to protect the coach's child and
one additional player (ideally an assistant
coach).
Evaluations/Draft - Coach's
are encouraged to attend player evaluations on Nov. 30 and Dec
2. The draft will be some time the following
weekend. Times and locations will be posted
soon.
